Glancing to the others, making sure their attention was else where, he flashed yellowing teeth in a silent snare. "Or what princess?" he taunted. He was just toying with her, that was true, but he didn't need anyone interfering with what he got planned. Backing down, he glared at her, she could prove a problem, a problem with an easy solution. "Who is alpha here?" he asked shortly, not doing well with concealing his annoyance with her.

Chai didn't budge, not at all bothered by the fact that he was annoyed with her; hell, she was annoyed with him. "None of your damn business," she answered, glaring daggers at him. If anything, he needed to back down seein as he was alone versus the minimum of two others on her side.

Not afraid of him, huh? That was a first, but then again, she didn't know the full extent of what he was capable of. He could change that, he could kill them all here if he wanted, but he didn't travel all this way for nothing. Yes, the plan. "Oh, but it is, I am seeking out one named...D'Artagnan. I heard he came the way a while ago, and the alpha should know his whereabouts." Torve said softly, staring at her.

Chai wasn't about to tell him anything. Without a word, she stood up fully and simply glared at him. Something about him didn't settle right with her, and the longer they stood there the worst the feeling got. Silently, she stood there waiting for him to just give up and just leave.

Clacking his teeth together, he could see where this was going. Inhaling, he let his mind wander to the pleasant thoughts of him destroying the femma. Patience. Perhaps there was another way to get what he wanted from her. "Well if you see D'Artagnan, tell him I have word of his mate." A look of remorse crossed his muzzle, and he let his gaze fall downward.

Tilting her head to the side, Chai couldn't help but wonder what he meant. "What happened to her?" She asked, standing her ground. If something happened to her, the one who had taken her in, she didn't know what she would do. Srely nothing bad could have happened, right?

He turned his head, almost refusing to answer. Glancing back at her, he gave her a look fill with utmost pain and remorse, that the air around him seemed to grow dark. "I'm afraid..." he swallowed, and tried again. "Dead..."

Frozen still, Chai couldn't believe what she had just heard. "You're lieing," she replied softly, not wanting to believe it. "She couldn't have..." she added shortly after. As much as she distrusted this brute, he did manage to fool her into believing his lies.

He merely nodded, he was the Father of Lies, but this was the truth. "Please..." Torve spoke quietly, "Please, I need to find him."

"I don't know where he is," Chai answered truthfully, sounding a bt dejected. She wasn't even able to lift her auds to look at him as she stared sadly at the ground in front of herself.

Torve gave a pained sigh, and glanced around. D'Artagnan was key. He had to find him. Patience. "Do they know where he might be?" he inquired, directing his gaze to the others a short distance off.

Sighing softly, she looked at him. "I would try asking his brother," she answered before starting to walk away. There wasn't anything she could do seeing as she didn't know where either of them were. All she knew was that Sic was dead.

"Brother?" he asked, head cocked. Shay'tan? That would be interesting. Torve looked at the fea again, but this time really looked. He sensed that she felt like an outcast here, perhaps she could be turned. She would make a fine mate if she could be. But that was not what he was worried about now, he waited for her to answer his question.

"Yes, brother," she replied without even bothering to look back at him or stopping. Looking for the others, she had no idea how to break the news to them. This definitly was not how she had planned to come back.

Torve got up and followed her. "May I go with, in case they have any ideas how to find him?" he asked softly, eyes aglow and few paces behind her. "My name is Torve by the way."
