Sicarius' seagreen eyes scanned the horizon for D'Artagnan, the wind rippling through her ivory fur. Lifting her proud maw to the sky she inhaled the sweet spring air, the smell of rain mixed with wildflowers and wolf scent was strong in her nostrils, a scent she could get used to. Letting out a howl she called her pack members to her, eager to hunt again. Thunderclouds rolled in the darkening sky, lightning charged the air. Perched atop a large boulder, Sicarius waited for the pack to come.

Chai's head perked up from between for front limbs when she heard Sicarius' howl from where she lay no to far away. Standing up, she stretched her front limbs and yawned before making her way towards where she was and looked up at her with caramel eyes when she finally approached the rock.

Sicarius downcast her gaze to the wolf before her. How did she get there? Sicarius hadn't scented her earlier, maybe she was downwind. Optics now an icy blue, she bared her teeth in a snarl. Leaping from her perch, Sicarius glared at the intruder, a low growl tore from deep in her throat. This was the second time this week a wolf entered her terra without permission! This fact made her a little irritable. "What business do you have here, wolf?" she said in a low rumble, hard eyes penetrating. Maybe it was time to remark the borders, she thought in annoyance.

Chai took a few steps backwards, knowing now she should have ignored the call. Staying silent as she stepped backwards, flattening her ears down in submission. How was she supposed to know this was a marked territorty, having not caught the scent earlier as she travelled alone through the woods. "I did not know," she said softly, keeping her gaze steady.

Searching the wolf for any trickery, she deemed it was the truth. Lifting her head, she showed her throat in a sign of peace. "You are welcome here. I am Sicarius, alpha of this terra." Her voice was still harsh, but that was most likely because she was aggravated at being caught unawares. "My pack shall be joining me shortly if you wish to stay." Her tail swished the ground impatiently and her ears swiveled around, intent on the slightest of sounds. Sighing, she brought her attention back on the fea, raising an eyebrow.

"I do not wish to be a bother," she answered, bowing her head a bit. Really she had no interest in being around someone so aggitated for her not knowing, therefore she was choosing to leave. But, knowing her rank in a pack she would wait to be dismissed, wanting no grievences.

Sicarius let out a sigh, relaxing a tad and with that her eyes morphed to a shimmering seagreen. "No, no, you would be no trouble." The distinct aroma of D'Artagnan reached her nostrils and she grinned slightly. Sitting back on her haunches, Sicarius surveyed the other, taking in everything about her. "So where do you hail from?" she inquired, cocking her head to the side faintly.

He groaned, too busy sleepng under the willow tree to be bothed with Sicarius. His dark body laid limply as he rolled onto his side. His jaws split into a large yawn, revealing a ivory-toothed lined mouth. His tail twitched as the wind blew by. Rolling back onto his chest he dug his maw under a paw. His auds flattened as a howl reached his ears, opening one amber eye he looked around, quickly he shut it and dozed off again.

Not knowing how to answer this question she sighed. "If I knew I would answer, I roam freely." She said, sitting down and let her tail lay next to her limply. Really, her past wasn't something she enjoyed talking about.

Sicarius turned, giving the other wolf a passing glance. "You may follow if you wish." Then she took off into the trees, in search of her packmate. Her nose led her true to the spot there D'Artagnan slept. Rolling her eyes, she crept up to him until she was not one pace away. Grinning spitefully she let out a sharp bark, scaring a rabbit nearby. Then without warning pounced on top of him playfully.

D'Artagnan jumped at the sudden awakening. Yelping as he was pounced upon. Seeing Sicarius he dropped his head to the ground and closed his eyes again "What?" he groaned, Tail flicking as he sensed someone else.

Her teeth clamped down on his ear, tugging happily. A mischievous glint lit up her eyes and she pushed at his stomach, inching him closer to the small drop that fell into a ditch filled with murky water. Giving one final shove, she watched in merriment as he began to slid down the slope. "Wake up! We have company."

Chai followed but stayed silent as the two played, wondering silently to herself why she followed her in the first place.

D'Artagnan opened his eyes, realizing he was moving. His skull lifted as he saw that neither of the two wolves were touching him. He yelped as cold water touched him, splashing around he growled.
Long sleek legs held up a strong body, pulling himself from the water his auds flattened. His black fur stuck to him, the water giving a gloss like look. Walking up to them he shook his body, Staring at Sicarius with a angered look. "Does it matter? You're alpha.." he sat down, tail curling around his large paws.

Sicarius feeling lighthearted watched D'Artagnan slide down into the ravine in childish delight. Normally she wasn't this giddy, not being this happy in months if not years. "Now, now, no need to be grumpy." she said, grinning despite herself. "Is that anyway to treat a guest?" What little sunlight that filtered through the cloud cover was absorbed by the canopy, making her white pelt have an eerie sheen. Her eyes darted to the silent fea, and she remembered herself. Smile fading she took on a more serious manner. "This," her light green eyes glanced over to the irritated dark form beside her, "Is D'Artagnan."
