Shay'tan stirred at the sound of footsteps, awakening he walked out greeting his son with: "And where the hell have you been?"
The tan wolf cast him a dark glance, "The pack is heading North" he simply said.
Shay'tan grinned, "Good."

Sicarius watched the wolf return and speak to his father. The exchange was short, and she knew that they were going to be on the move soon. A strange feeling rose up inside her, anticipation and blood lust. The feeling disturbed her immensely, not used to need to kill. It must have been the Darkwood that controlled her mind now, perhaps leaving would bring some clarity and remove some of the taint.

Shay'tan began walked around, attacking wolves that didn't begin to stirr or wake up in his presence. Lifting his head up, the devilish look returned, ears flattening he looked around "lets move!" he barked out. Wolves began to arise, woozily as if they had been drugged.

She rose to her feet and prodded over to Shay'tan's side. When she spoke her voice had a deep throaty sound, "We are leaving now, yes? She hissed the last word. "Finally." Giving a mischievous, secretive smile, Sicarius swept her tail over his nose. Licking her lips in anticipation, she tried not to whine and beg in her blood lust. She waited as patiently as one in her position could, fighting to keep still.

Shay'tan's yellow eyes, mirrors of D'Artagnan's, averted to her, that devious grin crossing his face, followed by a ghost of a snicker. Approaching her slowly, he brushed against her side, rather closely, like D'Artagnan would've done except without the affection.
"Listen, Sicarius." His voice took on that horrid sense, "I want you to take out D'Artagnan..." His ragged ears cocked, "Is that too difficult?"
---
D'Artagnan's ears flattened, trudging through a warm stream that went marching through a valley, An aura of terror had shrouded the area, and D'Artagnan couldn't help but be on edge.
Raeylin watched a few pups from her pack play together, she had gotten the job of babysitter, but she didn't mind. Yet, anxiety played tricks on her mind, making her awfully jumpy, even if it was just a pup tackling her tail.

Sicarius looked deep into those yellow eyes, searching. D'Artagnan, she could hardly remember anything about him anymore, except that he had left her. That stung and ate at her heart, helped taint her mind. Yes, D'Artagnan. He had left her to die, and wouldn't stay with her when she needed him most. Told her that he was leaving to this pack and when she offered to join him, left. Well not anymore, he would parish in her jaws or else she would, it didn't matter, nothing did. Her eyes swirled ice blue, cold and dead, a color that they always seemed these days. "No problem." she said deathly quiet, gave an evil grin and walked past him.

Shay'tan looked cooly, surprise played across his face for only a few seconds, slowly disappearing, that dark look crossing over his face again. "Trust me, you'll be greatly rewarded if your succeed." He said, ears flattening.
~~~ *Time Elapse* ~~~
Shay'tan and the pack stood at the break of a hill, looking over the side, waiting, no, stalking their next victim.
His yellow eyes searched, catching what he wanted, footprints. Freshly made ones.
Turning to his pack, he began commands, "Sicarius, go find D'Artagnan...The rest of you, help me take down the pack." The pack went rushing forward, snarls and barks arousing the adrenaline the wolves held.
Shay'tan looked at Sicarius, "Don't fail." His eyes glinted venomously before he too, raced after the others.
Sicarius flashed a grin at him and raced off, a flash of white even though her pelt was more a dull grey. Her senses seemed heightened as she tested the air for his scent. There it was, faint but still there. An aroma she would never forget. Smirking maliciously, she followed it to its source, careful to stay downwind. There he was, in a gully by a trickling stream. The light camouflaged her as she stalked her prey, eyes glowing with hunger and bloodlust. His back was towards her, black and shimmering. She didn't give a warning, just hurtled herself at his large frame. They were well matched. She was not small for a female, she wasn't even small for a male. Her shoulder hammered into his side as she knocked him off his feet, sending both of them sprawling to the river rock banks of the creek.
She didn't wait for him to recover, scrabbling to her feet, breath coming out in short, angry gasps. Eyes blaring, she glared at him, lips writhed back. Sicarius would have attacked him, but she still had honor left. "Surprised?" she snarled at him, pacing like a caged lion.
D'Artagnan, drowned by his own thoughts, was left blissfully unaware of Sicarius' presence, that was, until, she came clashing into him.
His footing slid to the side, sending him down, Cold water splashed up, stunning him for a few seconds. Jagged rocks that were submerged stabbed his side.
His eyes closed, shaking his head he fought to clear his mind and realize what kind of situation he was in. Boxy head turning to his attacker.
Sicarius.
At first, he wasn't sure how to respond, gladly she broke the silence. "Not in the least."
She reeked of Deadwood, Shay'tan and the others, a smell that could over-power anything. But that wasn't the thing that irked the wolf, it was the fact that now he was the one fighting Sicarius, not some pathetic excuse for a minion of Shay'tan.
Long pointed ears flattening he looked at her, There was no point in letting emotions get a hold of you, there was obviously going to be no mercy shown in this battle, and only one of them would walk away. They were too thick-headed to stop fighting, Sicarius and D'Artagnan were evenly matched, it was obviously going to be quite the show.
D'Artagnan, calmly, slid his paws under him, lifting up his large body and shaking water off himself. No, he didn't bare his teeth, no he didn't approach her, just watched her, pace back and forth, much like Shay'tan did.
"I thought you were stronger than that..." D'Artagnan said, tail flicking as he continued to watch, yellow eyes glued to her body, watching for that revealing muscle twitch to tell him what to expect, "But obviously, I've been proven wrong, which doesn't happen a lot."
~~~
Raeylin layed her head down, ears flicking suddenly, looking around, she didn't even have a chance. A yelp escaped her, Akumu and another wrenching her to the ground with two well placed bites.
Shay'tan approached her, watching the three puppies look on. "Its a shame."
"What is?" Raeylin asked, helpless against the others.
"You failed."
"Failed?"
Shay'tan grinned, Kyo and another wolf approached the pups, who whimpered.
"Failed." Shay'tan replied, grinning.
The pups never had a chance as they were torn to shreds in front of Raeylin's eyes.

Sicarius snarled at his words, lunging herself at him. Her ivory fangs tore deep into flesh and fur and she could taste the sweet savory metallic flavor of blood on her tongue. Growling low, she knew that he would meet his end. Cold hate clinged to ever movement of her body, hazing her mind. Only primal, animal instincts remained. Something about the Darkwood had heightened her senses, and made her movements faster and stronger.

D'Artagnan's head snapped back as he yelped in pain, spinning around, he only returned the strike, he never thought he would taste Sicarius' blood. But he had been wrong before.
Swinging himself around, he managed to tear himself from her grasp only a little, a bad idea, considering she had probably severed a large vein, blood was coloring the water below them.
His teeth flashed, sinking into her back leg, he didn't think twice before yanking it up, waiting for that crack that meant the back leg was useless.

Growling in pain, Sicarius reluctantly leg go of her grasp to spare her leg. Her front slashed at his eyes, and she tore her leg free...hopefully. Writhing, she righted herself, blood pooling around her. "You are a fool D'Artagnan! I am strong, stronger then ever and you will perish before me!" Sicarius screamed in fury, throwing all her weight at him, snarling. She found his throat between her powerful jaws and latched on with all her strength. Tighter she squeezed, slowly choking him.

D'Artagnan back peddled, a paw scraping at his face, three long parallel slashed across his right eye, from the inside of his face to the outside.
He panicked, the sight in his right eyes was blacking out, he was blinded, this would put him at a disadvantage.
Suddenly, he couldn't breathe, everything was blurred and dull, all he knew was that this was it.
He didn't fight it. It was useless, even if he did defeat her, he'd be alone, D'Artagnan would rather be dead. What was left to live for anyhow? Raeylin was killed, by Shay'tan himself (As far as D'Artagnan knew)

Sicarius shifted her weight, pushed her shoulder against his throat to topple him to the ground. There she stood over him, a triumphant gleam in her eyes. Blood trickled from his face, his eye ruined, though there was a possibility that it might heal if he lived. Writhing back her lips, she parted her jaws to make the killing strike but something kept nagging at the back of her mind. Don't kill him. the voice whispered. This is not right. You will have become just like them, those who slaughtered your pack then just when you were starting to heal did again with your new one. They took everything from you and once you kill him you will be nothing better. Sicarius growled lowly. "Shut up... Stop! Shut up!" she screamed, but they didn't only echoed their protests louder and it hurt! Wincing, her vision swam and she tried to focus and D'Artagnan but couldn't. Suddenly, she was in the winter tundra, cold and empty and utterly alone then she fainted.

D'Artagnan fell, laying in the water, staring at his attacker, just waiting, he wouldn't fight it, never. He wouldn't Sicarius, even if that meant he had to die.
The once ragged wolf with a cocky attitude had lost that ferocity, now, he cared. Feelings were such a weakness. And obviously, they would be the end of him. The cause of his death.
D'Artagnan watched her faint, a slight sense of alarm fell over him. Yet, he watched her hit the water, yelping, he rolled onto his feet, looking at her with his one good eye.
