Sicarius looked him over and sighed at his rugged state. "Please, you're going to kill yourself if you don't rest." Sitting back on her haunches, she gazed about the battlefield. All that remained was some ruffled grass and bloodstains here and there. The scent of the one named Chai filled her nostrils and Sicarius decided to go see how the femma was fairing. She gave one last look to D'Artagnan before trotting off in the direction of the aroma.

Chai slowly started walking in the direction Sicarius was coming from, still a bit dizzy from waking up. Soon, she could hear Sicarius' steps as the distance between the two lessoned.

Spotting Chai, Sicarius closed the distance in between them. Looking at the femma with mixed expressions, she bowed her proud head in acknowledgment. Sicarius' large form shadowed over the femma, her normally pristine pelt matted with blood and dirt. "There you are. I thought you ran off for good. What were you doing anyways?" she inquired, slightly suspicious, her ears laying flat momentarily.

Chai sighed heavily. "Well, I was following Rex and Demon but I must of hit my head on something because I just woke up." She stated, swaying slightly even though she was trying to still.

Sicarius nodded, looking the fea over. "Well D'Artagnan and the others are this way." she said, jabbing her head in the way she came. "They all seem to be fine, we all are just shaken up. The pack that attacked us is Shaytan's pack, who resides in the DarkWood. Steer clear of them in the future, I don't want any deaths hanging over my head." She blew out a puff of air, eyes on the ground. "I can't imagine what their next attack will be like, once he has regathered his forces it will be devastating. We might be driven out if this keeps up." Above the two wolves, the sky lit up, a tremendous bellow following the flash of light. Rain fell heavily, in fat drops that splattered when they hit the ground. Lifting her maw to the numerous nimbus clouds that loomed high over the treetops, a howl erupted from her jaws in a long, sustained note that traveled to the far corners of her terra.

D'Artagnan growled lowly, cursing and talking to himself as he looked for any clues of Shaytan. Watching Sicarius leave gave him the idea of leaving, it would be smart to do so...No more stress about him, Shaytan, Rei...Anyway..if he killed Shaytan he could get rid of the pack in Deadwoods, if Shaytan killed him..Shaytan wouldn't terrorize Sicarius anymore.
As the rain fell, guilt filled him. He looked at the ground, he was a curse..nothing more nothing less... water rolled down his face dripping off his nose. His ears pricked at the howl, amber optics raising. Standing up he got ready to bolt away.

A growing sense of panic filled Sicarius' veins, something was not right. As the rain fell, the grim and dried blood washed away from her fur. The chill water caused mist form at the forest floor, shrouding the pristine wolf in blanket of white fog. Trotting quickly now, she tore back to where she left D'Artagnan. Fear squeezed her heart, dread closed around her mind and she found it hard to breathe. Eyes swirled in an array of hues and her spine tingled, an unknown sensation. What she saw in the clearing only confirmed her fears, D'Artagnan was gone, the rain cleansing his scent. Another howl escaped her jaws, this one was eerie sounding, long and saddened and full of pain and sorrow, it echoed through the forest.

D'Artagnan would return, someday. Once he was stronger, (less hermit-y) and more in tune with his senses, As he rushed through the woods, weaving in between trees and bushes. HE controlled his breaths, making sure not to breath too deeply and hurt his rib. After a mile or so he slowed down, weather it was because he was old or hurt he couldn't keep running. Ears flatteneing he listened to the howl. A sickening feeling rushed through him as he listened to it fade away.
OoC/ HOWLS DON'T ECHO!
I"M BACKKKKKKKKKKK XD THEY STILL DON'T ECHO!

The rain fell over her as she stood immobile in the clearing. It felt as if her heart had been torn from her body. Her legs grew weak and she collapsed. She made no notion to get up and just lay there in the mud. Closing her eyes, she thought of D'Artagnan, and for the first time in a long time, she wept.

Hearing the howls from Sicarius, Raeylin raced to find her alphess. The ran pelted her repeativly as she darted through the woods. Splashing through mud as she hurried along. "Alphess Sicarius!" she exclaimed, seeing the white wolf fall.

Sicarius heard the other wolf come, and she was unresponsive. Thunder rolled in the black sky, rumbling through the valley. Cracking an eye open she gazed at the femma sadly. She was soaked the the bone, shivering in the cold, not caring what would happen to her.

Raeylin stopped, ears flattening as she saw how much emotional pain her Alphess was in. Uselessly she stood there, watching Sicarius..there wasn't a thing she could do.

She struggled to get up, slipping once in the mud. Once she was on her feet, she looked at Raeylin with an hollowed expression. "He's gone." and without saying anything else, she walked back to the dens, ears flat, tail limp. Her white fur was streaked with brown and parted of it were still caked with blood. Stopping, she looked back and nodded slightly, inviting Raeylin to follow.

The small wolf trotted after Sicarius, worry filled her eyes. Sicarius was one of the strongest females she knew...a role-model if you would call it that. To see her break down was crazy.

The sodden wolf crawled into the dens, somewhat relieved to be out of the rain. She plopped down on the soft material of the dens, her heart still aching, Closing her eyes, she cleared her mind of all thought, a pool of water forming around her.
