Rain poured sweet and heavy, barely tracing the forest's lush floor. An uncommon peace lingered in this part of the world, contrasting to the chaos in the east. The sun's waning effort was lost in the clash between the monstrous storm clouds that engulfed the sky. Except colossal thunderclaps, silence reigned. A lone wolf strode swiftly through the underbrush, his amber eyes glinting in the dim lighting. Lightning crackled, illuminating his face from the shadows.
Burn Sunrender was his calling, borne of the Badlands in the midst of a long and bloody war between the two factions; the wicked of the Darkwood and all those against them. Separated from his pack, he was left to wander the earth alone, in search of somewhere perhaps untouched by Darkwood and its taint. It seemed at last he may have found what he was looking for.
Lifting up his wet maw, he let out a fierce howl, a calling of sorts.
(Not exactly the direction I was going for, but its what came out...)

Bloodcoat, a large, bulky, muscular male who stood on both legs strode up to the new, strange, and interesting wolf. Greeting him with a quick nod. He circled him to inspect for any evils within him and made a quick unique howl to let the others of the pack know that all was well. He looked back and saw the others slowly all heading out from the cave to see the new wolf.

Burn eyed the other...wolf with caution. The queerness of it made him wary. "Brother." he greeted him. "Who are you?" If this creature was an abomination of the Darkwood, he would not hesitate to attempt to destroy him. Eyes flashing with anger, he kept his gaze fixated on the other, suppressing a low growl that was all too quick to rise in his throat. Slowly and hopefully discretely, Burn shifted into a defensive stance.

Bloodcoat stood calmly and looked at the other wolf saying "I am Bloodcoat. I mean you no harm, neither do my friends. If you are wondering how i became misshapen... it was a freak accident... i've traveled about a year or two now as an outcast because of it... but it has made me strong... very strong..." Bloodcoat eyed the other wolf for a reaction then calmly said "you are welcome here. you have nothing to fear friend."

After a moment's hesitation, Burn eased himself. "My calling is Burn Sunrender. I am from the east, seeking refuge from the corruption of the Darkwood." he stated. "Where do you hail from?" Giving an iquisitive look at Bloodcoat, he eyed his awkward gangliness and began to wonder.

"Sunrender eh..." He thought long and hard about the name. Then he replied "I hail from the section of woods closest to darkwood. They call it bleeding hollow because of the fact the trees seem to bleed there." he paused then said more "do you need shelter? do you wish to stay with us all? do you need food? water? we have it all here and in bountiful pickings... just say the word and i will have it brought to you new friend."

Burn regarded Bloodcoat warily. Such generosity was uncommon, especially with the war. "I will not ask for much, but I would like to stay." Lowering his head in respect, he added, "Do you know anything new of the Darkwood? It has been long since I have met travelers and I'm afraid my information is outdated."

"on my migration across it i have come across rumors... there has been a die down of the normally large amount of hideously evil deeds that go on within there... I wonder if they are planning something new... or if they have simply lost a high ranking member of their wolf packs..." he wondered if he should share this information. But he had a certain sense that he could trust sunrender and continued "I came across one wolf while i was there... he was a very large viscious one... i fought with him but i wasn't quite strong enough to bring him down... i was just barely able to knock him out down against a rock before i collapsed from exhaustion... what did he say his name was... i can't remember... but you are welcome to stay... and any more questions you have shall be answered.

A young wolf walked out into the new terra, his icy blue eyes scanning his surrounding, his nose sniffing around for the alphas of this land so he could request to help support them, his old pack having been killed off. Unbeknowst to most wolves who still remembered the Old Times, he was Rex, the beta of Wayfarer's, but after his final bout with his brother, he became an outcast again.

Slowly she moved. Carefully. Every paw placed gently on the ground. Foliage blanketed floor adding to the stealth. Body hunkered down as she over heard voices; she slithered between the protective shield of trees and bushes. Rain that dodged the leaves hit her back, running through the mottled dull brown and gray coat she held. Dulled with the dust kicked up in Deadwood.
Dustclaw shifted her gray-blue eyes over the pair of speaking wolves. Letting them, flicker between the two before head dipping back down and continuing to snake along the under growth. Semi-bushy tail flicking as she walked cautiously on stilt like legs. She winced as she heard the crack of a twig under her paw, so foolish to drop her guard.
ooc;// pretty bad. But, ten minutes?

Burn's head spun as he heard the snapping of twigs. Hackles rising, he bore down the spot where he thought it resignated from. "Who goes there?" he growled lowly. Narrowing his eyes, he wondered if he was imagining things. These days he was always overly paranoid.

Ears revolving irritably, pinning down as she grumbled about having to go through this whole process again. She lifted her head, looking over at the large of the two brutes. "Who wants to know?" She responded, ears cocking as she stood her ground. Remaining calm.

"Don't play games with me girl." he warned cooly. Crouching low to the ground, he prepared himself to attack. Lifting his maw, he tested the air. "You reek of the Darkwood. Probably a lowly spy." Burn tensed, eyes searching for the wolf.

"Spy?" she inquired, sitting down, even thought he himself enter his attack stance. "Spying is below me. If I want information, I walk right up to the source and force it from them." She replied in the same tone. "What are you? Some courageous outlander? Odd of you to dare this close to Darkwood property." Her gray eyes shifted over his frame briefly, before returning to his face.

Burn raised an eyebrow at her wandering eyes. "So cool of you. Darkwood territory, odd, it doesn't seem to have your stench on it." he replied, assuming her to be Darkwood scum. That was all he felt like answering, best not to let the enemy know too much.
